Calculating a Buyback When You Own the Vehicle

Insert Odometer Reading
To be used by the arbitrator on the date of the hearing. Vehicles in use over 36 months or 60,000 kilometres are ineligible for a buyback.

 

Step 3
The Price Paid by the Owner of the Vehicle as shown on the Retail Sales Contract
This is the price paid by you as shown on the retail sales contract or bill of sale before any allowance for a cash downpayment or a trade-in.

Step 4
Less any Manufacturer's Incentives or discounts
The Price Paid is reduced by any manufacturer's incentives or discounts that are shown on the retail sales contract or on other documents applicable to the transaction.

   

Step 5
Less all options paid or allowed for accessories that were not authorized to be installed on your Vehicle by the Manufacturer at the time your Vehicle was sold to the original retail customer
The Price Paid is reduced by all amounts paid or allowed for accessories or options not authorized to be installed on your vehicle at the time your vehicle was sold to the original retail customer.

Buyback Amount (without Reduction for Use). This is the price that is used to calculate the CAMVAP Buyback for a vehicle that you own. Vehicles in use over 365 days or 25,000 kilometers are ineligible for a buyback without a reduction for use.
